Multitudes

There’s a multitude in your eyes

And in your smile

There’s life where it must

And lust where it’s just

The heart beats louder before it stops

Yet love is fainter before it’s gone

For all our troubles are no more

Than the multitude in your eyes

Before they’re shut

Someday | Poem by Gabriel Berm

I envy the stars
For they keep you company at night
I fear other men
For they could break your heart into ten
I struggle through the day
When your presence is far away
I dream perhaps someday
I could hold your hand and hug you tight
Perhaps someday
I could see into your bright eyes
And kiss you until the sunrise
Perhaps someday
I will wake up holding you in my arms
Perhaps someday
You’ll clean my life of sorrows
Perhaps someday
What’s yours and mine will be called ours
And after loving you for years
And many flowers
Your eyes will still captivate mine
And your heart
Filled with feelings and superpowers
Will keep the life of this man
From tasting sour.
