Rhyme #7

Your eyes were as big as my doubts

Your words less hard than I thought

The love

Unrequited as it must

Yet my hands were shaking as you talked

Your smile prevented me to cry

The reason why

Shall only be known by the stars in the sky

For all of those things are barely memories

And I’m not the one you want in your routine

My God what I would give for you to see me

In the way that you see him

My God what I would give

For you to say the words “I do too”

When I say I love you

Something

There’s something I like about you, I’m sure there is. There must be. Your eyes? Perhaps. Your smile? I wouldn’t lie if I say it might. Your way of life? That could be somehow. If it’s not all of that then what is what I want? Is it the fact that you’re not with me but you’re with them? Is it the no so tender way you talk to me? Or is it the fact that you just don’t like me?

Swiping

Swiping and swiping

Swiping my tears away

Swiping my loneliness

Swiping all my heartbreaks

Auctioning my love

Begging for some crumbs

Yet still having hope

That someday

I’ll need to swipe no more

Shooting Star

Your eyes seem to me like shooting stars

The words you say simply rhyme in my head

Oh what I would give for you

If not my life then my entire heart

For you to not ever cry

Unless it is because you smile

For you to not feel alone

Because I’ve been here all along

Someday | Poem by Gabriel Berm

I envy the stars
For they keep you company at night
I fear other men
For they could break your heart into ten
I struggle through the day
When your presence is far away
I dream perhaps someday
I could hold your hand and hug you tight
Perhaps someday
I could see into your bright eyes
And kiss you until the sunrise
Perhaps someday
I will wake up holding you in my arms
Perhaps someday
You’ll clean my life of sorrows
Perhaps someday
What’s yours and mine will be called ours
And after loving you for years
And many flowers
Your eyes will still captivate mine
And your heart
Filled with feelings and superpowers
Will keep the life of this man
From tasting sour.
